No, it is not painful. But there may be tender points on the body which may be painful during treatment

Yes, Food can be taken before acupuncture. Half an hour gap would be preferable

Taking rest is for a while is advised after the treatment, no strenuous exercise or activity should be done and avoid using gadgets like phones, television and laptops/ipads/computers etc

There is no stipulated time period for acupuncture treatment. It has to be decided by the treating physician as per the patient’s condition.

Except for a mild prick pain, it is not painful as the needles inserted are very thin.

Public awareness programs are open for general public. People of all ages who are interested in knowing more about Nature Cure and Yoga to maintain their health and health seekers who look forward for Nature Cure and yogic management of their diseases shall attend these programs.

Monthly workshops are conducted on last Saturday of every month. Programs in residential societies, offices, NGO’s/private organizations, colleges and schools are conducted as per their request made to NIN.

Yes, one can organize programs in their locality by putting a formal request to NIN mentioning the details of the requirements, beneficiaries and other arrangements.

Yes, these programs are also conducted in regional languages like marathi, malayalam, tamil, telugu, odiya, punjabi, sindhi, kannada , gujarati, hindi etc

On every last Saturday of the month NIN conducts half day Monthly Workshop on various health and disease related topics. Programs are also arranged in various residential societies; offices, NGO’s/private organizations, colleges and schools by NIN, Programs on special days like International Day of Yoga, Gandhi Jayanti, and Naturopathy Day are also conducted regularly.

NIN will send SMS regarding the program to all the registered numbers. The same information will also be made available on NIN’s social media platforms like facebook and twitter. People may also get the information through the press release about the program, published in the newspapers.

Any medical graduate is eligible to attend the CME. CME are opened for all streams of healthcare professionals vis AYUSH, Allopathy

Information regarding the CME is published in the Institute website and also circulated amongst the Nature Cure institutes/ colleges and to the state govt

If you are a medical professional and could assemble minimum of 30 participants you may apply for organizing a CME on Naturopathy & Yoga of NIN. On approval from the competent authority, NIN shall organize the program.

You shall register by sending an email request and following the due codal formalities announced time to time.

CME’s are organized on various topics pertaining to the need of the hour like Sustainable health goals, research methods, maternal health, recent trends in Naturopathy, Yoga therapy, Acupuncture and on disease specific titles.

NIN does not sponsor for any programs but organizes such programs with the joint efforts of any institutions, NGO’s, Govt bodies etc.

Classes are conducted by qualified experts and doctors from the field of Naturopathy.

Yes, there is practical demonstration of the recipes and hands on training in the cooking methods  is given to the participants

Yes, there is a one month certificate course in Natural cooking methods. There is no restriction on age and qualification for enrolling in this course.

A cookery class is an initiative taken by the Institute to spread the concept of naturopathy nutrition and natural cooking methods.

It is beneficial for anyone who is interested to know and learn about Natural cooking methods for healthy living.

It is organized in NIN campus as well as at the places based on the invitations

NIN organizes a National level Food Festival every year in a selected city to promote and propagate healthy food practices. In the program various healthy recopies will be kept for display, seminars on food related topics, competitions for students, cookery classes will be conducted for the public awareness. A Health Shop is run by NIN where natural fod and drinks and products free from chemicals are made available to the public, books on Naturopathy, Yoga and other health subjects and various instruments used in the tratment of Naturopathy are solfd at subsidized rates

Students who have finished their BNYS final year from a recognized Institute/College can do internship.

A formal letter from the College is required regarding the students they want to depute for internship.

Duration of internship is three months only.

Interns are trained in departments like Naturopathy, Yoga, Acupuncture, Ozone, Medigym, and Naturopathy Diet Center

Stipend paid is Rs 8000/- per month.

No, food and accommodation is not provided by the institute however interns can avail food at Naturopathy Diet Center of NIN at concessional rate.

Library functions from 11 AM to 6 PM

We offer Silver and Gold membership which is valid for a year and has to be renewed to continue the use of library. Annual charge for Silver membership is Rs 300/- and Gold membership is Rs 500/-

To get the books issued the books you have to be a member of the library.

A silver member can get two books and one magazine issue and a Gold member can get three books and two magazines issued.

After one month from the issue of book it has to be renewed or get reissued. Reissuing can also be done telephonically or by coming to Library.

In case the issued book is lost, the member has to replace it by a buying the same book for the library or a fine in tune to triple the cost of book is levied on the bearer, or it is deducted from the membership charges.

Medi-gym at NIN is not only a Fitness Gym but a place where Rehabilitation also is taken care.

Rehabilitation is Rs 5000/- per month (Four sessions a week) and Fitness training and weight loss etc is Rs 8000/- per month (Four sessions a week)

Post-surgical rehabilitation like patients after undergoing Heart surgery, Joint replacement or any other surgery, Stroke (Hemiplegia), Spinal injuries (Paraplegia) can avail the services of medi-gym.

Yes a one month Fitness training course is offered with a fee of Rs 10,000/-

We advise participants/patients to wear comfortable clothing and bring a separate pair of clean sports shoe for the gym; you can carry your napkin/towel as per your need. Gap of atleast 2 hours should be maintained after having meal for the workout and rehabilitation. Patients who are dependent on others even for basic activities like walking, wearing the clothes etc and suffering from conditions like paralysis, paraplegia etc should have an attendant along with them in all their visits.

The duration of treatment depends upon the intensity of the disease and how well one recovers. However, it may take around 60-90 minutes during every OPD visit.

Yes, Yoga & Naturopathy are two sides of the same coin. Naturopathy detoxifies the body and restores the vitality whereas Yoga physically helps in improving the flexibility and boosts mental health.

Naturopathy believes lowered vitality, accumulation of morbid matter and abnormal composition of blood and lymph is the root cause of all diseases, and the cures lies in restoring the vitality and elimination of toxins to purify and detox the internal environment.

 m Nature cure treatments are safe and do not have any side-effects if done under qualified professionals. Acute symptoms may be seen during the treatment as a sign of healing crisis which should not be mistaken as side –effects.

Naturopathy treatment can go along with other treatments. Medicines are not discontinued immediately. Once the patient gets adapted to the Nature Cure treatments slowly the medications can be tapered and discontinued depending on the response.

No, both are two distinct systems of healing. Ayurveda uses various medicines and surgery as the tool in treatment whereas Naturopathy doesn’t use drugs except herbs.

Yes, there are sweets available made without refined flour and sugar. Ladoos made from Groundnuts, Ragi, Sesame and Beetroot, Stuffed dates are also available.

One month certificate course in Naturopathy Cooking Methods is conducted which is open for all. In this, natural way of cooking is taught to retain the nutrition of the food and yet make delicious food.

Treatment Assistant Training Course (TATC), a one year, full time, practical and career oriented training course on Naturopathy & Yoga therapies.

Anyone having minimum qualification of 10th /12th pass and is aged between 18 to 30 years is eligible to apply. Age relaxation is applicable to candidates belonging SC/ST/OBC/PH as per the Govt. rules

It is a free course, a sum of Rs. 5000/- should be deposited as caution money at the time of admission, which is refunded after course completion.

Yes, you may walk in for the test; we recommend meeting the doctor before taking the test.

Free distribution material is available as information booklets on only for distribution in programs of the institute. However, the soft copy of the same are available in the archive section of the website.

All books published by NIN are useful for students and clinicians but Rational Hydrotherapy by J H Kellog, Clinical Naturopathy-Yoga, Naturopathy Food concepts, Manual of Acupressure, Acupuncture and Hydrotherapy are recommended.

The patient is asked to meet the doctor with ART booklet, previous medical records, AADHAR card and a photo. The treatment is absolutely free of cost.

Minimum stay recommended to experience the change with naturopathy is 15 days. As per the convenience of the patient they can stay even as long as six months.

We do not interfere with patient’s ongoing ART. With the continuing medical treatment, nature cure treatments are added to improve the health and quality of life.

Naturopathy treatments are absolutely safe and do not have any adverse effects. We aim at restoring vitality and giving them take away message of sustainable living with natural diet, yoga, pranayama and naturopathy.

All that is needed to begin Yoga is willingness and commitment. There are no guidelines other than wearing loose cotton clothes.

It is advised not to eat at least 2 hours before practicing Yoga. A fruit or juice can be taken one hour before the practice.

For beginners and first timers it is not advised to take an online class for yoga. It is suggested to practice and learn Yoga under a qualified yoga teacher initially to know the fundamentals about Yoga practices.

Choosing the style will depends on age, current physical activity and expected fitness goal. There are cultural, restorative and meditative types of Yoga practices available.

Yoga can definitely help in losing weight. The primary aim of the practice is not losing weight but to achieve healthy body and sound mind. Yogasana performed with mindful breathing helps in detoxification of the body, cleanses digestive tract and reduces stress or anxiety.
